Mahatma Gandhi's timeless values and philosophy are being channeled to people through the Gandhi Gyan Mandir which is setup in Wardha.
Conceived by Shri Jamnalal Bajaj, Gandhi Gyan Mandir took concrete shape in 1950 with a donation of Rs. 1,00,000 from Janki Prasad Poddar of Calcutta. The President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad laid its foundation stone and Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated it on 5th January 1954. The Gyan Mandir houses a public library with a sizeable collection of Gandhian literature in various languages. It has proved to be a rich depository of knowledge for scholarly research.
