Born in 1921. M.A., Ph.D., Visharad in Hindi. Did her post-graduation at the age of 60 and got her doctorate when she was 80. Joined the Women's Indian Association (WI.A) when she was 20. Put in tremendous efforts through WIA and made significant contribution to women and child welfare: the "Even Tide Home" for senior citizens, a large Smokeless Chulah Project, an Indian Population Project, training in tailoring to poor girls, a computer training centre, rehabilitation of lepros ....
