Born in 1897 in Rawalpindi, now in Pakistan. Participated in Swadeshi movement of Gandhiji. Organised Katai Mandals, trainin in craftes and social education for women. Post partition, worked in Bal Niketan, a centre for training and rehabilitation of widows and destitute women displaced from Pakistan.
