Secured his law degree from the University of Madras in 1932, but could set up legal practice at Coimbatore only in 1936. Got involved in the freedom movement. Suffered imprisonments. Born in 1922 in Larkana district of Sind, now in Pakistan. Post partition, became the Manager of Vinoba's Param Dham Ashram. Took part in Kanchan Mukti experiment of Vinobaji. Joined Bhoodan padyatra. Stayed back in Bodh Gaya in Samanvay Ashram. The Ashram project has been prescribed as a case study in Community Work by a British organization.
